Construction of the fifth Favorte Stock building at Tähetorni Tehnopark has begun

Real estate developer Favorte and Eventus Ehitus are expanding Tähetorni Tehnopark on Paldiski Road. The new 5,000 m2 stock-office building at Mäeküla 9 will be completed in the fourth quarter of this year.

To date, 22,000 m2 of stock-office spaces has been completed and leased in the technopark. A total of 30 companies have set up their businesses in the four buildings. According to Rainer Hinno, Member of the Management Board of Favorte, the attraction of modern business parks lies in their smart space solutions and low ancillary costs. “In 2023, the average ancillary costs of Tähetorni Tehnopark were €1.8/m2, which is a very good result considering the high energy demand of manufacturing companies,” explained Hinno.

All the commercial development buildings feature an innovative three-in-one space concept that brings warehouse, office and sales under one roof. In addition, there is a steady growth of new space in the business park, and the practice of moving into an adjacent building has already been taken up by several tenants. “As the company grew, we needed more rental space within a couple of years. Thanks to a flexible contract, we were able to relocate within the business park without spending excessive resources,” says Erlend Merila, member of the Management Board of Cerbos OÜ

The Mäeküla 9 office building is being built by Eventus Ehitus, which also completed the Mäeküla 7 stock office last year. “Considering the standards set by both Favorte and Eventus, and the smooth functioning of our cooperation model so far, I can say that the construction level of the Mäeküla 9 office building, which will be completed at the end of the year, will meet the expectations of even the most demanding client,” commented Eventus CEO Lauri Kaska.

The architect of the Mäeküla 9 commercial building is Aigar Roht from Arhitektuuribüroo Korrus OÜ. The roofs of the buildings in the business park are filled with solar panels. In just a few years, Favorte solar park has produced 1,500 MWh of green energy, enough to fully charge more than 38,000 electric cars. Half of this has been used by the tenants of the buildings, who can consume the electricity produced free of grid charges. In the coming years, Favorte will build a 334-apartment Rehelepa residential area next to the Tähetorni Tehnopark, which will help integrate the needs of local businesses and residents.
